At the beginning of this season, we launched our Sports on Earth Confidence Pool, which allows you to compete against me (and Vegas and FiveThirtyEight, ESPN's smart analytics site). The winner of the pool gets to assign me to write about whatever they would like for my weekly newsletter. And I am proud to say that after eight weeks I am 7th out of 123. But this is less because "I am smart" and more because "I'll make sure to do my picks every week because it's my job and not every reader will have time to do that." I'll wait you out, people!

Actually, we can track how I'm doing against FiveThirtyEight and Vegas. Current scores:

FiveThirtyEight: 563 (4th place)

Leitch: 557 (7th place)

Vegas Odds: 556 (13th place)

Check those standings out! First place is held by "adamcohen15," but, man, is it ever tight. FiveThirtyEight will always win in the end, I suspect. Anyway! It's not too late to join, if you want to join: Just go here.

For now, though: Week 10! Here goes! Vegas and FiveThirtyEight picks are after mine. Home teams are in all caps, with spreads (via Bovada, subject to change, with points indicating first team listed) and tune-in info below (all times ET).

14. LOS ANGELES RAMS (6-2) over Houston Texans (3-5)
(-12) 4:05 p.m. Sunday, CBS

To be this confident about a Rams team is truly disorienting.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) over INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (3-6)
(-10) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

If there are any hospitals that want to withdraw their sponsorships of the Colts, it would be difficult to blame them.

12. DETROIT LIONS (4-4) over Cleveland Browns (0-8)
(-13) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

Hopefully the Browns will get the paperwork in on time to play this one.

11. New England Patriots (6-2) over DENVER BRONCOS (3-5)
(-7 ½) 8:30 p.m. Sunday, NBC

I'm sort of obsessed with that ESPN: The Magazine photo of old Tom Brady. He looks like the dad just trying to get home to his kids in a disaster movie.

10. TENNESSEE TITANS (5-3) over Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)
(-5) 1 p.m. Sunday, Fox

Man, the AFC is just the dregs sometimes.

9. Seattle Seahawks (5-3) over ARIZONA CARDINALS (4-4)
(-6 1/2) 8:25 p.m. Thursday, NBC

It will be a relief for us Cardinals fans to lose this game, so we can stop pretending.

8. Minnesota Vikings (6-2) over WASHINGTON FOOTBALL TEAM (4-4)
(-1 ½) 1 p.m. Sunday, Fox

We're so desperate for a contender in the NFC that we're really talking ourselves into the Vikings.

7. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (5-3) over Los Angeles Chargers (3-5)
(-4) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

Combined, these teams have at least 2,500 fans.

6. CAROLINA PANTHERS (6-3) over Miami Dolphins (4-4)
(-9) 8:30 p.m. Monday, ESPN

Sort of looks like the Panthers finally found themselves last week against the defending NFC champs, didn't it?

5. ATLANTA FALCONS (4-4) over Dallas Cowboys (5-3)
(-3) 4:25 p.m. Sunday, Fox

The Falcons suddenly seem on the brink. If they lose this game, 28-3 is the least of their worries.

4. New Orleans Saints (6-2) over BUFFALO BILLS (5-3)
(-3) 1 p.m. Sunday, Fox

Are the wheels about to fall off the Bills? That would be a shame.

3. CHICAGO BEARS (3-5) over Green Bay Packers (4-4)
(-6) 1 p.m. Sunday, Fox

Apparently, Aaron Rodgers should be the MVP every year until forever.

2. New York Giants (1-7) over SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (0-9)
(-3) 4:25 p.m. Sunday, Fox

This game is the best argument against cultural elitism I've ever seen.

1. New York Jets (4-5) over TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (2-6)
(-2 1/2) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

The Jets getting to .500 would be the epitaph this NFL season deserves.
