At the beginning of this season, we launched our Sports on Earth Confidence Pool, which allows you to compete against me (and Vegas and FiveThirtyEight, ESPN's smart analytics site). The winner of the pool gets to assign me to write about whatever they would like for my weekly newsletter. And I am proud to say that I am doing well. But this is less because "I am smart" and more because "I'll make sure to do my picks every week because it's my job and not every reader will have time to do that." I'll wait you out, people!

Actually, we can track how I'm doing against FiveThirtyEight and Vegas. Current scores:

FiveThirtyEight: 878 (3rd place)

Leitch: 865 (4th place)

Vegas Odds: 859 (11th place)

Check those standings out! First place is held by "adamcohen15," but, man, is it ever tight. FiveThirtyEight will always win in the end, I suspect. Anyway! It's not too late to join, if you want to join: Just go here.

For now, though: Week 14! Here goes! Vegas and FiveThirtyEight picks are after mine. Favorites are in all caps, with spreads (via Bovada, subject to change, with points indicating first team listed) and tune-in info below (all times ET).

16. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (10-2) over Miami Dolphins (5-7)
(-11½) 8:30 p.m. Monday, ESPN

I sort of imagine Gronk will spend his newly discovered off-week jumping on people anyway, regardless.

15. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (10-2) over Baltimore Ravens (7-5)
(-5) 8:30 p.m. Sunday, NBC

The Ravens are showing a little spunk, but seriously, this is the most outstanding, quiet Steelers team in recent memory.

14. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (6-6) over Washington Football Team (5-7)
(-6) 4:05 p.m. Sunday, CBS

A Super Bowl between the two L.A. teams, in a town that doesn't care about either, would be a funny way for this football season to end.

13. GREEN BAY PACKERS (6-6) over Cleveland Browns (0-12)
(-3½) 1 p.m. Sunday, FOX

It is fair to assume that we will all be dead before the Browns win a game.

12. TENNESSEE TITANS (8-4) over Arizona Cardinals (5-7)
(-3) 4:05 p.m. Sunday, CBS

The Cardinals are reacting to this lost season by thinking about making Blaine Gabbert the quarterback for next year, in case you were wondering how things are going in the desert.

11. HOUSTON TEXANS (4-8) over San Francisco 49ers (2-10)
(-3) 1 p.m. Sunday, FOX

This season just lost a little bit of oomph when Deshaun Watson went down.

10. Seattle Seahawks (8-4) over JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (8-4)
(+3) 4:25 p.m. Sunday, FOX

I am not prepared to live in a universe where the Jaguars are favored over the Seahawks.

9. BUFFALO BILLS (6-6) over Indianapolis Colts (3-9)
(N/A) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

Seriously, there is no more 2017 NFL thing than the Bills being over .500 if they win this week.

8. DALLAS COWBOYS (6-6) over New York Giants (2-10)
(-6) 1 p.m. Sunday, FOX

If I were Eli Manning, I wouldn't even want to come back and start this game.

7. CINCINNATI BENGALS (5-7) over Chicago Bears (3-9)
(-6) 1 p.m. Sunday, FOX

Andy Dalton might have one last push left in him.

6. Oakland Raiders (6-6) over KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (6-6)
(+4) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

Now that I'm finally off the Chiefs train, expect them to win out.

5. Denver Broncos (3-9) over NEW YORK JETS (5-7)
(+1) 4:05 p.m. Sunday, CBS

I don't care how crazy the world is right now -- there's no way I'm taking the Jets as a road favorite over the Broncos. Things haven't gotten that insane yet.

4. Carolina Panthers (8-4) over MINNESOTA VIKINGS (10-2)
(+3) 1 p.m. Sunday, CBS

What the Vikings have done this season is remarkable … but I'm not picking them over Cam Newton in Charlotte.

3. ATLANTA FALCONS (7-5) over New Orleans Saints (9-3)
(-1) 8:25 p.m. Thursday, NBC

This is the last chance I give you, Falcons.

2. Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) over LOS ANGELES RAMS (9-3)
(+2½) 4:25 p.m. Sunday, FOX

Jeff Fisher has me still doubting the Rams, a year later, despite all evidence to the contrary. The guy has power, you gotta give him that.

1. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (4-8) over Detroit Lions (6-6)
(N/A) 1 p.m. Sunday, FOX

You don't want anything to do with this game.
