This week on the Poscast, brilliant ESPN Senior Writer Keith Law and I talk a little World Series, we offer up our MVP and Cy Young picks, we talk a bit about Keith's Top 50 baseball free agent list, which will be appearing on ESPN on Friday, and as usual we go off-road on random topics like why the Kansas City Royals can't get it together and why Mike Trout is just so much awesomeness.
The good news is that this time -- unlike the last Poscast I did with Keith -- you can actually hear him. Last time we did this Poscast in my home studio, meaning my office/attic where I have an old microphone that picks up sound about as well as my father, who is the one you will hear in the restaurant saying, "WAIT A MINUTE, HE TOLD HER WHAT?"
I decided to compensate for this by putting Keith roughly 283 feet away from the microphone, which made the Poscast sound like this:
ME: "So, Yuniesky Betancourt can ...
ME: "Ha ha! That might be the single funniest thing I've ever heard."
KEITH: "... ........ ..... ..........."
ME: "Really? That's really all it takes to make a million dollars?"
And so on.
This time, people should hear Keith pretty clearly, which is great because he's really one of the smartest baseball people in and around the game. He's actually one of the smartest people I know, period -- food, literature, board games, you name it.
And, of course, he's one of the leading sports voices on Twitter. It's @keithlaw, if you don't already follow. Or you can just follow his "You are a jerk because you hate my favorite team" responses. They are abundant.
